Upcoming Samsung Phones for 2025 & Beyond
2025 has been nothing short of epic for new Samsung phones.
So far, we’ve seen the release of the flagship Galaxy S25 series, with everything from a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and upgraded Galaxy AI features to a 200MP camera on the Ultra model. Foldable device fans have also benefited from two new Galaxy phones: the Z Fold and Z Flip 7.
Will this Android device innovation continue? If so, what can we look forward to from Samsung in Q3 and Q4? Let’s find out!
Which Samsung Galaxy Phones Are Yet to Be Released?
Here are four potential Samsung releases expected in the second half of this year and 2026.
1. Galaxy S25 FE
Alongside the standard S25, the Ultra, the Plus, and the ultra-slim Edge, the latest S25 series is receiving a highly anticipated fifth model: the Galaxy S25 FE. Rumors about a new Fan Edition device began in October 2024, with previous generations skipping this model following the first two FE devices.

The S25 FE could feature a slimmer design, with a 6.7-inch screen and a 120Hz refresh rate like its predecessor. However, rather than the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the FE may, unfortunately, include the Exynos 2400e. This lower efficiency chip was used in other Android devices, like the Galaxy S24 series, in all markets outside of the US, Canada, and China.
But one area that is likely to see an upgrade is the selfie camera. Samsung is reportedly building the S25 FE with a 12MP Front lens, although the rest of the camera specs are still unconfirmed.
Unlike the rest of the S25 range, which launched in July this year, you’ll have to wait until the end of September 2025 to get your hands on the FE.
2. Galaxy Z Flip 8
Launched just last month, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is Samsung’s thinnest and most advanced Flip device yet.
It features a redesigned FlexHinge that’s built to last longer, a bigger 4300 mAh battery capacity, and not forgetting the brand new Exynos 2500 chip. This replaced the Snapdragon processor used to power other flagship Samsung devices and is likely to keep costs low, yet efficiency high.

Samsung phones like those in the Flip range typically have a summer launch date, usually in July, and the Z Flip 8 should follow the same pattern. This means we don’t currently know much about what to expect from these upcoming Galaxy phones.
But based on the upgrades to the Z Flip 7 and circulating rumors, we can make a few predictions. For instance, after the Flip 7’s slimmer and lighter design, Samsung’s next clamshell-style foldable is unlikely to see a significant design overhaul.
As well as being the thinnest, the Flip 7 is also the most powerful Flip device yet, running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. According to Korean media reports, Qualcomm may partner with Samsung Foundry to release a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 featuring powerful 2nm technology, which could be ready in time for the Z Flip 8.
However, other reports suggest that Samsung may stick with Exynos chips. Early benchmarks indicate that the 2nm Exynos 2600, the new chipset that the company is reportedly working on, could be pretty impressive.
In recent consumer surveys, Samsung has been asking users if they’d prefer Qi2 magnets for wireless charging. Although current Samsung phones don’t feature built-in Qi2 magnets, they do support this standard, meaning a Qi2 wireless charging compatible case is all that’s required.
These surveys imply that built-in magnets could be coming to the Flip 8, if Samsung can include them without significantly increasing the phone’s thickness.
3. Galaxy Z Fold 8
From a wider Cover screen to a larger 8-inch display with a much less noticeable crease down the center, the Z Fold 7 saw some significant improvements. It also features a new 200MP Main rear camera, putting it on par with flagship Samsung Galaxy phones.
However, the Z Fold 8 could benefit from further upgrades that tackle some of the long-standing issues many users have with the foldable phone concept.

For instance, supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the next book-style foldable could include laser-drilled metal plates under the screen. Like Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, this would nearly eliminate the crease by allowing the panel to bend without causing a permanent mark.
Another area that may be improved is battery. With a 4400 mAh battery capacity since its third generation, the Z Fold series is falling behind phones like the Oppo Find N.
It was confirmed during Galaxy Unpacked that Samsung would be looking at using next-generation silicon-carbon technology in the future. This would be incorporated into the latest Galaxy phones, including the Z Fold 8, to offer a higher capacity and long battery life.
The Z Fold 7 is also the thinnest of all foldable Samsung devices yet. To achieve this, however, the S Pen stylus was removed. Rumors suggest that Samsung is currently researching thinner digitizer technologies to create a slimmer S pen design for the Fold 8.
4. Galaxy S26 Series
When it comes to the Galaxy S26 series, we don’t yet know many details. However, similar to Apple’s strategy with the iPhone 17 Air, the slimmer Galaxy S26 Edge could replace the current Plus model.
If the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 is in the works, it’s likely to power the latest Flagship series. And as a chip that’s made by Samsung, it could mean that the S26’s price won’t have to be raised as much to cover outsourcing and manufacturing costs.
The S26 could also feature a completely different AI assistant. Samsung are reportedly close to confirming a deal with AI startup Perplexity, meaning this app could replace the current Google Gemini.
It seems that Samsung has finally listened to the pleas for faster charging speeds, too. Reliable tipsters have confirmed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature speeds faster than 45W, while keeping the same 5000 mAh capacity as its predecessor.
Final Thoughts: Which Samsung Phones Should You Invest In?
As you can see, there are plenty of new Samsung Galaxy phones to get excited about, both this year and next!
If you love the innovation of a foldable phone but want a compact, pocket-friendly device, go for the Z Flip 8. For those who prefer a foldable that opens up into a larger tablet, the Z Fold 8 could be the ideal choice.
Whether you can’t wait until the S26 series or are looking for a budget-friendly option, the Galaxy S25 FE is a good solution. Enjoy similar benefits to those Samsung offers with its flagship phones at a more affordable price tag — but don’t be surprised if the performance doesn’t quite match the standard S25.
Finally, for those who enjoy everything from powerful Galaxy AI features to top-quality cameras, the Galaxy S26 range is an unbeatable choice. That’s if you don’t mind splashing the cash!
